The Artist

I have been fortunate to study with many nationally acclaimed artists and teachers. I studied watercolor painting with Pricilla Klass, Jennifer Almodova, Jann Pollard, Eric Christensen, and have also studied Botanical art with Catherine Watters and Lee McCaffee.

My paintings reflect the things that make me happy. I find that nature creates the most interesting and lovely subjects to paint. Painting has opened up new ways for me to explore the world. I find myself fascinated by the details as well as by the grand view and attempt to capture both the details and the vision in my paintings. I use a camera to capture the parts of nature that interest me, and to give me the resources to plan my paintings. I look for the effects of light, shadow, reflections, texture and mood in my subjects.
